Finishing Back Door
I started by sanding the back door and taping each pane of glass.
It's amazing how much time you'll spend taping if you know you're going to put your work up on the internet for the world to see!
Finished! I figure I've got about 14 hours of work into this door. Ugh! But the finished product looks pretty good, so it was worth it. (Notice my new crystal doorknob from Rejuvenation.)

We just spent the entire weekend putting the finishing touches on our recently stripped front door and I spent quite a bit of time taping to make it pretty for the camera. :)
BUT why are you painting the wood?!?! We just spend the last several weekends stripping paint OFF our door!!! :D
I'm painting it because every other piece of trim in the house is already painted. (This door is circa-1990), and besides, I actually prefer the trim white. I'm glad my house already had everything painted because frankly, I don't care for dark stained flat-grained doug fir. Now if it were CVG doug fir or quarter sawn oak, that would be a different story.
