See, I Told You I Would do Some Work
I got out the tools and started into the dining room windows. I've got four 9-over-1 windows to completely restore and reglaze. For now I'll settle for just getting the bottom sash unstuck from the first window. Yipee!
Hi There, I'm a fellow Portland home restorer. I am in the process of doing this same process to 6 similar windows from 1911. It's A LOT of work and my 5-in-1 painters tool made removing the sashes a breeze! Good luck!
I just did three of my windows. Took me about 8 hours a piece but well worth it. I took mine completely apart and sanded, stained (or painted), and re attached the window weights. You do very nice work.
