Doorbell Finally Mounted

I bought this really cool art-deco doorbell at Rejuvenation's attic sale 2 or 3 years ago and I've been (im)patiently waiting to put it up in the finished kitchen. Well, I finally got around to it. Now it'll probably be another two years before I hook up the button.

Here's another shot of the finished cabinets, now with decorative fake plants for that finishing touch!

  1. We've just started renovation of our 1909 bungalow in Walla Walla, so I've been checking out what other folks have done. Nice site.

However, I have to make one comment that may not be appreciated. I've never seen that quote by Frank Lloyd Wright. I find it particularly interesting, given that he almost always sacrificed function for form. As you know, he controlled nearly all aspects of many of his designs. Dictating the artwork and other furnishings is a prime example of his belief that function follows form. Can you imagine eating dinner sitting in one of his dining chairs!

As you might be able to tell, I've always had a love/hate relationship with Wright.
